Several ways I could go on that: the ones I've listed, or, I could compress some of the story (nothing would be de-canonized, man that sounds weird) and draw a new version.
Not that I would start the project right away, mind you-- I've a lot to do on my hands.

I guess it depends on what exactly you are thinking to do with them. Is it to match the style you have recently been working on with the comic? color-wise I guess... Or just to give it a more updated look?
Because either way could work. It could be left alone or you can take it one page at a time whenever you have some time on your hands and slowly give it a more color-ized upgraded, almost even more professional look to it.
either way, I like the idea to both update and leave it lol. It shows how far you have come in your detailing and creating. Maybe instead of all the pages, just do the ones you really weren't too happy with?...
I guess that is my suggestion... then again... by the end of the year, you could find yourself with a lot more traffic your way too *smirk*

Mmm, I had actually been thinking more along the lines of a "remix," which would concentrate more on some things and maybe move a little faster on other things. (Like, for example, the scene where Green discovers that convention he meets Casey, Dex and Lette at would be handled totally differently. The actual action wouldn't really change any, but I'm better at scripting scenes like that now.) My mother actually suggested that it could be a thing I would sell, actually.

My mother actually suggested that it could be a thing I would sell, actually. Not a bad idea actually... Tokyo Pop manga has a message forum and they actually have a place where creator's can pitch their ideas and give a sample of their work. They then go through the steps in an attempt to make it real. Who knows- you could find Law of Purple mixed in with the same company that brought us DN Angel and Fruits Basket ^_^

That'd be really cool, but ever since you were talking about self-publishing the other day in your blog, I've been thinking about how one would go about self publishing a comic.
I think I'll do some more research before I try anything, though. (And your cover is the first thing after the website comic and homework, anyhow.)

I think I'll do some more research before I try anything, though. (And your cover is the first thing after the website comic and homework, anyhow.) heh... self-publishing a comic could get very expensive actually... loking at well into $2,000 Depending on the company you find. It would be awesome if you could find a company that helps self-publish comics though at a much cheaper price. The one I quoted is more along the lines of picture books... which is what they probably would consider yours to be. Research is definitely the way to do it. The more you know, the less people can try to con you... and believe me they will try. That's why it took me so long to decided on the company I wanted to go with. I had to consider things like royalties, and copyrights, and artistry and so many more things. Settling with BookSurge is actually the better deal for me in so many ways. There are times I do get a little blah-ish and need to take a quick break from writing. I can probably see if I can turn up a few links for you if I find anything for publishing comics. And if you want, I think I still have the forum link from TokyoPOP if you wanted to take a look. I'd be happy to help you out in any way I can, if I can I found these 2 articles if you are interested in checking them out. They deal with getting a comic published. The Comic ReporterHow to get a Comic publishedAnd here is the TokyoPOP thread about submitting to them... TokyoPOP manga submissions: how to submit your work to us

I don't have an opinion for the poll... Remember leveL? You were the one who got me hooked on it. <_< Nate's starting to sell his stuff, and he's also re-drawing his first chapter, but putting it in a different area. Hmm... I guess that if you do want to sell it, it needs something. First of all, more background. I have problems with background - even in just writing - but I know that it's important and you can have a table, window, vase, shadows, etc. on the wall behind the characters. Another thing is plot. Your comic sounds... (thinks) kind'a like a soap opera, since there's a lot of stuff, and not a lot of action until recently. It needs a reason for being. There needs to be a lot more talk about Silver at the beginning, things for the characters to achieve. It needs more action. So... there's my two cents. That's based on what I've learned over the past few years... When I started thinking of a plot for the later sections of my fanfic, I started liking the story better and I was able to write chapters quicker when I have a purpose. I can't say much about what others think, since my review count dropped... but, I'm guessing it's for other reasons. Those who have reviewed have said they like it better... Well, anyhow... I just thought I'd say this stuff, since I think it would be able to sale better that way, if you want to sell it. (I wanna really think of a good plot and get it really detailed and stuff before trying to sell a novel or something myself... then I'll look up the guys LP found to publish it. )

That whole bit right there is why I'd be redrawing it, instead of putting the pages in straight- embellishment and streamlining. All I'd really need to self-publish it would be a friendly copyist and word of mouth, when you think about it-- some self-published comics and magazines started out as little booklets taped together, and have billions of subscriptions today. I think I'd only go with a company to help me publish for a full-on graphic novel collection, which would need to be better made and more professional. LeveL is part of what made me think about doing a redraw in the first place, actually.
