LEVILevi is Jel's younger brother and on the football team with Violet. He has an unusually long tongue ( ) which has gotten him the rather unflattering nickname of "Tongueboy" among the football players. He's hoping muchly that his mother doesn't know this. Levi and Jel mostly leave one another alone, although they will provide each other with company and sympathy when their mother is in a tyrannical mood. ROBBIERobbie is the Sports Columnist/ Theatrical Critic of the school newspaper, the Platy Press. His hobbies include annoying Dex, and football players. (Not annoying Dex and annoying football players. The hobby is just the football players themselves.) Although he and Green don't hang out as much as Green does with Dex or with Casey, they hit it off alright and enjoy goofing off in the newspaper room. He may have a slight crush on Green. (A very slight one.) First appearance: Page 96, Far Side of Nowhere

MAX(m)Max(m) is mysteeeerious. XD He is the CEO of a technology company called Irrutech, and anonymously donated the money that Rose and Red used to buy their house in Port Platypus. Max was actually raised by his brother, alongside his niece Skyla, and the two are more like siblings than uncle and niece. (She actually only calls him "uncle" when she's annoyed with him.) Unfortunately Skyla's parents died tragically a few years before the Fayse family crashes on Earth, and so the two now share an apartment. He may or may not have unclear connections to Lette or to General Dert. First appearance: Page 94, Fall to Earth

SKYLAMax(m)'s niece and Sapphire's roomate in college, Skyla has moderate empathic abilities and can sense the general mood of different people. Lette likes her because she's short. (And Lette would LOVE to wrestle her into a Yugi costume and drag her to an anime convention.) When not in college, Skyla lives with her uncle, as she is effectively an orphan. GENERAL DERTLette's father and a general of the US army in charge of the classified base that picks up, cares for and retains extraterrestrials, including Blue and a certain little hooligan living underground. (Aren.) It is unknown how much he knows about those living off Earth, or how many people his base is currently retaining. First appearance: Page 58, Fall to Earth

GYPSYGypsy is Blue and Lette's boss at Mage Myrddin's Curiousity Shoppe, and the wife of Myrddin, who is both the supplier and namesake. For most of her appearances thus far she's been pregnant with twins, which was why she was hiring people in the first place. Gypsy dyes her hair and has an abstract tattoo on her right shoulder. Also, she makes her own clothes, with a bent on fantasy style costumes. It is unclear how much she actually knows about where Myrddin goes on his business trips, but probably much more than she lets on in-comic. First appearance: Page 22, Far Side of Nowhere

MYRDDINGypsy's husband as well as the supplier and namesake for the store she runs, which they both own. Myrddin is an offworld trader, with a permit and everything (I want to know where I can get one of those) who sells cheaply made Earthen souveniers for more than they're worth offworld (as far away as Caligula itself) and buys offworld merchandise nearly as cheaply to sell in his shop. He is also the brother of Ebony Black, a woman who Red, Blue, Green and Whitey had a runin with before reaching Earth. She is not a nice lady, and apparently their encounter involved tolls. Myrddin's last encounter with her perma-bleached his bangs, although he did not elaborate on how this happened. He was born in the British circles of the world and has a light accent. NICKNick knew Lette in High School. He annoys her. He likes her. He sees Blue as a rival. Blue sees Nick as alternately annoying and amusing, depending on the circumstances. Nick is also somewhat spoiled, as his parents let him mooch a little too much, and has an overly high opinion of himself, something Lette has been trying for years to disabuse him of. He also has an aggressive streak Blue quite quickly shot down by throwing him over his shoulder and carrying him out of the shop. Be assured he will reappear, as he is too stubborn to do otherwise-- not particularly smart, but stubborn. First appearance: Page 79, Far Side of Nowhere

DAIMON[glow=red,2,300]NOTE: Spoilers ahead!!! Not to mention a very dark entry![/glow](uberspoilers in smaller font.) Daimon is half human and half wraithe. His parents met when his wraith mother Irena was in her mid teens-- his father was meeting her thinking she would be innocent and naiive. He himself was somewhere in his thirties, and how many young girls he had met under such circumstances is unknown, as well as what exactly he did with them. Irena, being a wraithe, was more than capable of subduing and imprisoning him, and kept him for almost a year. Irena killed Daimon's birth father when he, on finding she was pregnant, tried to stab her in the stomach. Irena soon after picked up a relationship with Sylvana's father, Kayn. Kayn... was not a father to Daimon. He physically and sexually abused the boy until Irena caught the two of them and killed Kayn. (remember that Lette has pointed out few wraithe make it to adulthood as virgins.)Daimon was marked at an early age with the dragon tatoo on his back, which the wraith believe is a mark of destiny. This is part of how he became the general of the Dark Forces. Daimon has been guided and watched his entire life by Epsilon, who has an unsettled score with X'Zabris. Epsilon was the one who sent him to attack Blue the night the Fayse family landed on Hedise. It is not a night Daimon remembers fondly, although he later made such prowling into a habit. Daimon is very protective of his sister. She assumes this stems from a need for her powers of sight, but the truth is that Daimon sees in Sylvana something he knows too few wraithe are allowed to have-- a grain of innocence. He is driven by an unconscious need to change his society into something a little more like that of Earth's United States, even though his father is a prime example of that country's dark underbelly. At the same time, the lack of acceptance by his mother race does not leave Daimon with much optimism about his father race-- Wraithe consider halflings weak (true by their standards) and do not have much sympathy for the weak. First appearance (filler): With Blue and Lette, during Far Side of Nowhere First appearance: Page 103, Far Side of Nowhere

SYLVANADaimon's younger sister and the anchor to his sanity. Sylvana always knew that her father abused her brother, and did not actually grieve for her father so much that she grieved for her inaction. Sylvana has the power of foresight, something that only wraithe who reach puberty as virgins attain. The mechanics behind this are unclear, however Sylvana, aware that her condition is not normal in wraithe society, is actually ashamed and embarrassed by her abilities and is convinced there must be some reason she is sexually unwanted. She is NOT aware that Daimon has actively chased off would be "suitors" since they were children, not an easy task for him since he is only half-wraithe and therefore at a fighting disadvantage. Sylvana is both strong willed and smart, her brother's ideal second in command. First appearance: Page 103, Far Side of Nowhere

SAPPHIREHow'd it take me so long to get to her?! Sapphire Sharp is Blue's unofficial therapist, along with being one of the first real friends he made on arriving at Port Platypus. He was inspired by her willingness to hear him out and accept him into giving Jel a shoulder to cry on later. Sapphire usually wears earrings and likes t-shirts with goofy sayings. Her family lives across the street from Teh House, although she is currently only living there while on breaks from college. She is persuing an English major with an emphasis on ancient mythology. She is also very personally generous, smart and to the point. First appearance: Page 9, Far Side of Nowhere

SABREThat's pronounced "Say-bur," not "Sah-bree." French spelling. No, I actually have had people think that was the pronunciation. I don't think anyone's silly for it, I just want to be clear. Sabre is a "2nd Kind orphan--" that is, someone whose 1st Kind parents abandoned her out of shame, poverty or elsewise. She has no ill feelings toward them, having never known them. Her surname, "Gem," was given to her by Kimuri Mishikari because he thought of her as such. He adopted her, and raised her in the Nijai temple. She led a fairly happy life there, dealing with all the charity cases that came Shangri's way, and eventually stumbled on Blue sitting on a hill. The two felt an immediate spiritual connection and soon became bloodkin. While Blue was in the temple, they were effectively roommates (each bunk had a screen wall dividing it in half.) Sabre encouraged him to trust his instincts and go home, despite the heartbreak it caused everyone involved. Later, when Shangri was attacked and conquered by Silver, Sabre stepped up as leader in Kimuri's place, as he had vanished. She eventually became the head of command under Silver and the first to report to him, much to her chagrin. Luckily for Sabre, Silver has yet to discover she is legally a member of the royal family. MORGANA spaceway pirate before the arrest of his captain and surrogate father (they were one and the same) landed him in the streets of Casta Bay on Caligula. A few months and several arrests later he found himself at Shangri. He arrived around the same time that Blue did, and after a rocky start the two became close friends. Morgan could potentially be blamed for the purging of whatever innocence Blue might have had left at that point, at least in the partying department, although both will argue the point. Morgan works best in a leading/in charge position, and Sabre often leaves him in charge along with Ralf, who he was roommates with while first in training at the temple. Sex means very little to Morgan beyond a good time-- for him it's just another thing to do while with friends. Something with more laws of ettiquette, yes, but not much more meaningful than playing cards. Also, he tends to be rough when intimate. Nevertheless, he is very affectionate with his partners, and has the good manners to say goodbye while taking his leave of someone. Morgan is rather fond of gambling and Drakon rum, which is harder than Terran rum because Drakons have less susceptibility to alchohol. He has one slashed scar across his right cheek he earned in a knife fight, and multiple smaller scars across his body that are less noticeable.

RALFRalf was born in Shangri, and only recently with necessity has ventured out. He has his comfort box-- the rules and procedures he has grown up with-- and dislikes being out of the box. Morgan, being extroverted, dislikes seeing introverted people cage themselves in such a way and is often upturning the box on Ralf's metaphorical head. XD Because of this they actually make a pretty good team.

MIRA
The daughter of a fervent Caligulan anthropologist, who spent much of his time in the field doing research, Mira pretty much grew up on the road and on the fringe of Caligulan "civilization." During their travels she met and fell in love with Thud, a tribal prince. X3 When the father and daughter pair headed to Shangri, however, her father contracted "Svits," a mountain illness that in his case proved fatal. Mira continued on without him and stayed in Shangri until Silver's attack.
Mira was born mute, and her father was not wealthy enough for surgery to correct her condition. She speaks Caligulan Sign Language, CSL, which the other Nijai around her have learned, to their great advantage.
Thud and Mira were actually aware of one another's presence while under Silver's command, and were seeing each other covertly. They are still very deeply in lurve. X3 To the point of utter sappiness.
